Re: Vakx vs Shadow

What Noodle said. I started out much worse than this, stop with the hate, spread the love. For all you know he could be a 9 year old kid, how does it feel to bash the poor little guy?

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

we're just scared that the directory is going to be ruined by this kind of video's like what happened on BF.com

''You don't have to tell him how great is coffee is man!''

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

These kind of films don't go in the "recommended" portion of the directory. Plus, our moderators and film reviewers have some sense in them. There really was no reason for to be so hard on the poor boy, an apology to him would probably be better than trying to justify it...

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

Did you frikkin saw my first post, DID YOU? I told him everything, but because he don't want to look like a loser, he deletes my review on youtube 2 times mini/madhead . It's like he doesn't want to change you know.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

Ya know, we could have the ability to enter for the forums only OR forums and directory...

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

They're working on that, but until then you can post your film in another forum and get a mod to move it.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

Constructive criticism?

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

I was 9 when I joined this site. I even made good stuff. even a six year old made a better brickfilm.    Okay, maybe with the help with ancientbricks and the four monkeys, but still.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

The point is, everybody starts somewhere. Most of you started like this guy did, and look at you now. You've improved a whole lot, and with some patience and experience, you will get better.
Same goes for this guys here. He is starting out with brickfilms, luckily he found BiM. There is an abundance of resources this community has to offer, and by working together, everyone has a chance to improve. Bashing this new guy with bolded text stating that it was terrible does nothing. It only drives this brickfilmer away. Give him a chance to get better. Perhaps direct him to some resources where he can learn the basics? Maybe give some beginner's advice.

Collector1100, welcome to BricksInMotion.com! I hope that you continue to brickfilm (animated Lego film), and expand your knowledge and talents to a point where the community can praise your films.
I understand that you're eager to animate Bionicle figures, but these can be very difficult to animate. Why not try using minifigures (the little Lego people)? The joints are basic and easy to move, so you will find that is is easier to animate and film minifigures.
Unfortunately, the Resources section of BricksInMotion.com is not finished yet. This section will contain tutorials and tips on how to make a brickfilm. In the meantime, look throughout the different forums throughout the site, hopefully you will be able to find a topic that interests you. If not, you can always use the Search feature at the top menu, or even post a new topic!

Enjoy the hobby, and good luck with your future animations!

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

What NXT said.  Constructive criticism is helpful, opening by saying something is "bloody awefull [sic]" isn't.  But I digress.

Also, please do not post your films in another forum and ask us to move it here.  The idea is for the directory to be an almost complete place to search for films; we do have minimum quality standards, however, and reject a significant number of submissions.  It doesn't take much extra time for us to do this, and standards for a film to be 'recommended' are quite high, so the directory being flooded with low-quality films that you have to wade through shouldn't be a concern.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

I agree with Hazzat and NXT. Also, T.G Tom, I believe that any kind of obscene language has no place on a respectible site like this.

In addition, when I first joined, I was completely mullered by everyone. Nobody gave me constructive criticism. That is what, I believe, newbies (pardon the term, but you are reasonably new to the site) deserve.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

When I started making "Lego Movies" I didn't even know how to get the pictures off my digital camera.

At least this guy knows how to!

AND when I got SMA and started filming at 15fps, (I still called them "Lego Movies" back then) I didn't know how to put sound into WMM.

At least this guy knows how to!

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

I agree with the importance of constructive criticism, but this guy needs to suck it up and receive criticism.
Whether or not T.G.-Tom was particularly nice, it's inappropriate and lame to delete his reviews.

Re: Vakx vs Shadow

Thanks Jargon.

Ok, sorry, I wasn't meant to hurt him, maybe Bloody Awefull is a bit hard...
I'm only a bit mad at him because he still thinks he ownzzz on the youtubezz, so he deletes every ''not very positive'' comment.
