Nice. I couldnt see any flaws, really. The guy could of fell a bit faster I guess, and maybe more blood. And a swishing sound effect would be cool. How did you do the camera movement? Just with your hand or something?
Thanks, MOL. Yeah, the guy could have fallen a little faster, but remember, he's falling because he's dying, not because a little knife knocked him off his feet. I'm also not one for blood with LEGO. I couldn't find any swishing sound effect, and my sound library consists only of the BF sound packages, and several from findsounds.com. I'm afraid that audio is my weak point. If anyone can tell me a website that has almost every sound you'll ever need for free, that would be great. The camera movement and blur effect was with my hand, yeah.
It looks like there wasn't any masking... the knife just jumped from the minifig's hand to the other guy's stomach... am I seeing that right? I might have stuck just one intermediate frame with the knife in midair. Other than that, looked solid.
Yeah, there was no masking whatsoever. I was trying to create the illusion that the knife was thrown with the blurred camera movement, but apparently it didn't fool you. Next time I'll do a little masking, with the knife in the air during the blurred shot(s).
I think that worked great. I only noticed when I went back frame by frame.
I agree with Hazzat, except I can spot Masking right away. And I did not find anything.

Same here. By the way, Bricklord, I have a couple of good sound sites.
All of these are good sights, but, Stonewashed is mostly a directory to other free sound effects sites....

Thanks guys, this boosts my confidence with my AniExer entry. I plan to stick in a knife throw, at the end, and it's going to effect the story as well. Thanks for the help, MOL. I'll check those out, the only one I've visited is Freesound.com.

Yeah, you seem to take to animation fairly naturally, because that was great. Having the couple in-flight frames really helps, I look forward to seeing your entry

Sound still needs some work... the swish in particular is way too loud... but excellently animated. The only other thing I could suggest is that you blur the knife in those mid-air frames to give the illusion of motion. But that looked awesome as is.

It's hard for me to tell how loud a sound should be because the computer monitor's sound is on full blast, and the little icon where you normally turn the sound down is gone. Can't figure out how else to turn the sound down, either, so I just leave the sound as loud as it was when I downloaded it. And the knife is blurred on those mid-air frames.
Anyways, thanks for the advice and praise everyone, it helps a lot!

this is amazing bricklord! you have passed many of us! in a matter of weeks you have done what took many of us months or even years! cheers to you my friend! you deserve some good compensation for your ability (for clearly it is n ability since it comes so naturally!)
