This theme is overthought. I wish there was a much easier theme.
The idea is that there is supposed to be a challenge to this competition. If it was an easy theme, then there would be no mental challenge really.
We DO have an Avant-Garde idea that we are not going to use, if anyone wants it. Just PM us, and we'll let you know what it is, but first come = first serve!
I can't think of anything either. Well, I have ideas, but they would be far too difficult to complete in the time that remains.

The theme is in its essence to try to think outside the box. Don't overthink it. We just want to encourage people to aim for creativity and originality here, I don't know how the concept could be much simpler.
Sméagol, I understand you want us to think outside the box, be orignal and creative, and do things that have probably not been done before. Well, in order to do this, most likely the things that have not been done before are things that would have to be done in post-production, having to do with special effects. Well, a lot of people like myself don't really have that great of programs for editing, or even a program at all.

Actually, this is not true. A lot of Avant-Garde techniques can (and should be) not only in effects, but in storyline, the way you animate, and how you set up each shot.

im currently working on test. and writing the script.
im glad we have a couple months to finish. because this will be my first Stop motion.
gonna have to work night and day if im gonna get all the special effects worked out.
and dont worry. although it is my first BrickFILM. it will not be by only experience with stop motion.

Hope I don't sound mean, but this being your first brickfilm, I wouldn't get your hopes too high.

one question, is this originality in script or in techique, or is it either/ or
Either, or both. The more adventurous you are in multiple areas, the better, though of course you shouldn't make something that is so "experimental" as to be unwatchable.
Is something that is not a test, but an actual film, and that is kind of a wierd film with different wierd events throughout the story (but still has a storyline) concidered something that i should enter?
i can hopefully do something! I can try!:)
