Topic: Stereoscopic Video

I was fooling around the other day with the technique used by movie makers to make 3-D films (not CGI), only on a brickfilm scale.
You will need red and green 3D glasses to view the effect.

Result

It's a pretty difficult effect to get to look convincing; the photoshop editing alone would be incredibly cumbersome to perform for many clips in a film. Because that clip was created in layers, any camera movements would also be challenging. That said, it would look incredible if incorporated into a film. I just don't know whether the work/payoff ratio is significant enough to rationalize the amount of effort involved. Thoughts?

Re: Stereoscopic Video

hmmm... an interesting effect you have going here...I like it!
Im interested to see where your going with this!

Now did you create this frame by frame? or was it multiple clips compiled together?  because frame by frame
would be more work than i would have patience for...

If I'm on the forums, I'm probably waiting for Blender to finish rendering.

Re: Stereoscopic Video

I can't watch any thing in 3-D mini/sad

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: Stereoscopic Video

I would love to see it, but sadly I do not have any 3d glasses.

Re: Stereoscopic Video

Sounds like a interesting effect, I will probably have to go buy some 3-D glasses.
