Re: Building the BiM Resources

Well, I could make a tutorial of how to do masking in Gimp, but I a question: How do you take pictures of your computer screen without it looking really strange?

The PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard is a great way to do it.

What button is that? And how do I save it as a picture on my computer, instead of printing it out and taking a picture of the paper?

Re: Building the BiM Resources

Are you on a mac or a PC?  On a PC it's very simple, you just press "print screen" and the screen is copied to your clipboard, from there go to an image editing program such as MS paint and press ctrl + v to make it appear.  ALT + Print Screen only captures the window you have open.

Re: Building the BiM Resources

It's shift-prnt scrn on my keyboard. So try that if print screen doesn't work.

I have a PC, and it's a laptop, but I have no idea what the print screen button actually looks like, or what buttons it's next to.

Re: Building the BiM Resources

Well it usually says "prt sc", "print screen", "prnt scrn," or some variant thereof.  On laptops it varies.  Sometimes you have to hold down a fn or function button to use it and it doubles as another key on more compact keyboards.

It should be between F12 and Scroll Lock.
