Topic: Building the BiM Resources
Development of the resources section is currently underway, and we are making progress. However, we still need more content!
If you'd like to write a tutorial, or have already written / produced a tutorial, I encourage you to submit it to us. We're looking for useful articles and tutorials on brickfilming and videomaking in general in any medium - text, images, video, or any combination of these.
Guidelines
For the sake of continuity and consistency throughout the resources section, we do have a few guidelines.
1) If at all possible, take any screenshots in your tutorials using the default skin/appearance of the operating system you are using. This makes for a cleaner, more consistent appearance of articles. If you have to show your desktop, a plain background and minimal icons are preferable.
2) Try to keep text tutorials broken down into small, organized paragraphs so that it is easy to follow piece by piece.
3) Make it clear from the beginning of the article or tutorial what supplies / software people will need in order to follow the tutorial.
Submitting Content
To submit your article to the resources, send a PM to "Resources" with your article either included or linked from where you have it hosted. If your tutorial involves several files (images, project files, that kind of thing) you can .zip it and upload it to mediafire or another filehost, and provide the link to that.
We intend to publish these articles on Bricks in Motion, so it is important that you create or have permission to use all the content in anything you submit.
Please don't post submissions in this thread, so we can reserve this thread for updates, suggestions, and questions.
If you wish to submit sounds, please visit this thread.
And here's a disclaimer for submitting content to us:
By submitting material to the Bricks in Motion website, the original content creator retains rights to his or her material but also grants Brick in Motion the following rights: Bricks in Motion and its associates may modify submitted material for clarity and/or simplicity. Bricks in Motion and its associates also retain the right to republish submitted material, in whole in in part, in other mediums, included but not limited to, video tutorials, podcasts, interactive programs, and print medium. In any of these cases the original submitter will be given full credit.
