Topic: Yet another test by my 10yo

Yeah, I know I am probably boring the crap out of you with these.

But here is another test by my son.

No there is no point to it, it is just him stuffing around. but he is learning a lot.

I know there is no "walking", and no sound.

I was impressed by his patience, for him to sit there for hours was amazing. I think all up about 2200shots.

Anyway, enjoy! Constructive criticism welcomed. Nasty ones for the sake of being nasty are not.

mmmmm...that was alright (I did MUCH MUCH much much worse then that when I first started out)

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

That was pretty creative for a first attempt
he didn't try to make a walk cycle without the knowledge of knowing how to do it he but found another way to move his minifigs which i liked
the only thing i would change is the camera angle and the smoothie swirly thing around the perimeter of the film

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

That was extremely good for a first, especially by a 10 year old. My first was a lot worse. I would like to know, what exactly is your son's technique?

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

My son says he just does what he feels like doing. And just make tiny movements, he did it at 24 fps.

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

Oh Snap way to fast
Try 15fps but if he gets really skilled with stopmotion like this Guy
Then He could try it but 24fps i know takes extreme patience

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

Yep told him to do it 15fps, but will he listen? Noooooo!!

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

What software and equipment does he use?

Re: Yet another test by my 10yo

He is using AnimatorDV simple + for animation, and a Panasonic GS400 Digital Video Camera
