Here's an animation featuring two virtual minifigures. Please review and comment. It will take an entire 6 seconds.
That was pretty good! The only thing I saw that could use improvement would be the easing in and out, but I realize that with LDD's limited range of motion that probably isn't possible. 
Yes, it is possible. I think it's most pronounced in the arms in motions 1-3. You can just adjust the amount of angle to change the part by from one frame to the next. smaller amounts are good for more subtle movements, and larger amounts for broad movements.
The only problem I noticed is that LDD has no antialiasing, leading to somewhat low quality renders as a result. 
Otherwise the animation looked fine! 
The animation isn't too bad from this distance. I actually zoomed in for the actual shot! Since the LDD shots are saved as a PNG with transparent background, a Sony Vegas user could feather the edges slightly to tone down the sharp edges. Or a Photoshop/Corel user could do the same to each individual frame (though that's a much more daunting task!) Anyone else who wants to experiment with LDD animation could try these techniques.
