Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

That was good. slow in some parts though. the walking of the figures was too slow as well. what program did you use, Blender?

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

Yes, what program was used to render the bricks? The scene with the Jedi and R2-D2 needed improvement with the walking, but it's only a Work In Progress. I love what you did to the other Jedi's eyes, with the bags under them.

Has anyone ever made a Brickfilm entirely with 3D images?

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

uhh, brickfilms.com has one called piano man. it's more of a music video thing though.

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

Yeah, that was made by The Doctor.

This is very impressive. The walk was a bit slow, though.

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

Nice job James. As has been said, some of the minifig movement could use a little work - the walking and running don't look quite right. Otherwise, it's very impressive. How long did it take to get to this stage?

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

Some very cool work here. Always room for improvement, but you definitely know what you're doing.

Bending the minifigs was a bit strange - I'm not sure I'd do that in a CG brickfilm.

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

Yeah I don't think the running looked right, he looked a bit wierd. The movement was also a bit too slow sometimes and that was distracting for me.

Everything else was great.

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

oh, and Anikin's hand went through R2D2 head-thingy(is it Anikin or Luke).

Re: Flame of the Jedi (Work in Progress)

That was amazing...I thought that the animation was good,If a bit slow at times(the running/walking) but that was the only problems.I really liked the camera movement when R2 fell over.Nice work,Mr.Wadsworth.

Oh, I don't even want to think about it! mini/tongue About three months work on the stuff shown here. I have done a lot more work on it since then, fixing lighting, poses, and other stuff (hands going through R2-D2). But due to the time it takes to rerender, I decided to just post this version.
