Re: The Animation Challenge
Congratulations legodave1! This category means something like a guy playing with a football or other household item?
I will see if I can enter this one.

Congratulations legodave1! This category means something like a guy playing with a football or other household item?
I will see if I can enter this one.
for example, a minifigure using a pencil somehow - but the pencil being an actual real pencil or encountering a sweet wrapper - view it as though the minifig has left the Brick World and come into our world.
Ok, thanks! I think I have an idea now.
Here is my entry: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2r4RD sp=sharing
Nice idea Raptor, I liked the different camera angles - come on guys, there is still time for more entries:)
Here is my entry
I made this in under two hours, so it really isn't my best work...
These are both nice entries and thank you both for entering the challenge, but as there can only be one winner I must declare it to be mrlegoman purely on the merit that you managed to portray tension on the toothpick fishing rod just before he landed the fish - a nice imaginative clip - well done
Raptor, I liked your idea of the minifig clearing chess pieces to create a clear skate path and it was nicely animated. Well done and thanks for entering
Take it away mrlegoman
Congrats mrlegoman!
First off, thank you Legodave1 for hosting this week's challenge, it was a lot of fun to participate in. Also, nice job Raptor Studios, I too liked the different camera angles in your video.
Anyway, for this week's challenge...
THEME: Low or Zero Gravity
DEADLINE: Tuesday, March 8th
The idea here is to create the illusion of weightlessness with lego. Since this is an animation challenge, masking is not required (unless you really want to ).
Phew! That sounds hard! I will see if I can come up with anything.
Definitly gonna do this, this challenge sounds awesome!
Phew! That sounds hard! I will see if I can come up with anything.
Well, that is the idea; After all, it is called the animation challange, not the mildly difficult & non-competitive animation contest! Anyway, I hope you are able to enter.
Definitely gonna do this, this challenge sounds awesome!
Cool, I look forward to seeing your entry!
Only one day left for entries; don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to both improve your animating skills, and gain fame & glory!
Um I was wondering, Are we going to start a new challenge? I would have entered the gravity challenge, but I was not available. Should I enter it a whole week late, so we could continue the challenge, or should 1999mrlegoman make another challenge so we could start again? It doesn't matter to me, so whatever you guys think would be great.
I would just like it if we continued the challenge.
Yeah, I agree with Raptor, I think we should continue the challenge or make a new one because I wasn't able to enter my the gravity challenge either.
I could make the new challenge, unless 1999mrlegoman wants too. All I want to happen is the contest to continue.
Raptor, if you would like to create a new challenge, I encourage you to. I think that theoretically a mod is supposed to create a new challenge if no one enters, but it is kind of unclear. It would be much simpler if you were to start a new one.
Also, if either of you want to post your entries late, I can still give feedback.
Okay, the new theme is Swimming
The deadline is Tuesday, March 22
In this theme, Brickfilmers should attempt to make an animation with some character/minifigure swimming in something.
I will hopefully judge these films and have a winner by Thursday. If you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them!
Last day for entries! If nobody enters, am I allowed to extend the deadline?
Okay, since no one entered this weeks contest, should I make another one or extend the deadline?
