Does the next topic get chosen tonight?
I believe so, Raptor Studios.
Since it is a day after the requirement for the new theme, isn't one of the moderators supposed to make the theme then? The only reason I ask this, is because I would like to take part in this challenge.
Thank you!
Ok. I guess I was getting a little impatient. Thanks for the info though. I am also new to this challenge.
Thanks for making this theme! Would it work if I just had a minifigure and nothing else? Could you set a limit of parts? That way I know just how small you mean.
I want to leave it somewhat open to interpretation, so I don't want to make a part limit. Just a minifig would work just fine, since I will be judging based on the quality of the animation primarily, but not necessarily the video that incorporates the fewest pieces.
However if you would still like a part limit, I would recommend fewer than 10 pieces. (This is not a requirement, however)
Thanks, that adds a little perspective to what I was thinking of doing.

Not much, but I thought I might as well enter anyway.
Here's mine
I used 10 pieces in total, including the baseplate.
Here is my entry;
I used more than 10 pieces, but I still consider it minimalist.
I also tried out face replacement for the first time.
It appears to be blocked under YouTubes restricted mode (because of the title?) if that's a problem for anyone, let me know and I will upload it somewhere else.

Nope! Your video worked fine for me.
This is an interesting challenge - I will make one tonight and hopefully squeeze in before the deadline thanks to time difference.
Here is my entry! Hope I'm not too late! I made this in 2 hours. Any feedback is much appreciated.

These are all really great, guys! It has been a difficult decision, but the winner is: legodave1! I really enjoyed the ...expressiveness of your chicken figure. It is even funnier the second time when you know what's coming. Congratulations on the win!
The runners up are Raptor Studios and 1999mrlegoman. Raptor, I liked the way you animated the color of the bricks in addition to the bricks themselves. I bet you could make a full-length animation in that style. mrlegoman, your animation fit the theme well, but you didn't sacrifice details in favor of simplicity. I saw that blink!
Thanks Geouug - glad you enjoyed it - and well done to everyone else who entered!
Now for a new theme - how about a minifigure interacting with a simple household object from the "real world"
Without going back through the archives I don't know if this has already been done?
Hope it makes sense and this challenge can be very imaginative - Deadline is Tuesday 1st March - Have Fun.
