Re: Bricks in Motion: The Documentary Kickstarter is now LIVE!
Oh well, these things happen. We're still on track to meet out goals, so don't worry. Keep spreading the word, and don't forgot about the two promo videos!
We are a friendly filmmaking community devoted to the art of stop-motion animation using LEGO® and similar construction toys. Here, you can share your work, join our community of other brickfilmers, and participate in periodic animation contests!

Another (or the same) $500 level person has come.

Hmm, perhaps this person was just having some tech issues... Or wasn't 100% sold on the awesome-est idea ever.
Either way, as of right now, we're back up to $8,500-ish.
The second promo is incredible. I like it more than the first one.
Just bought a gift card & made my contribution. Best of luck to you.
We are very grateful to everyone who has contributed so far for your generosity!
I've just posted a new update about the film, with concept art!
Wow, the new promo looks great! Would you happen to know if there's any way I can get my hands on the song used in it? It would fit well in a project I'm working on. I'd offer all credit that's due, of course.

It's called "Safe and Sound" by Capital Cities. You should be able to find it on YouTube.
That concept art is the most beautiful Lego thing i've ever seen. Whow. Hands down to whoever made it.

I know what the original song is called, I was inquiring about the cover used in the video. I'd rather not use the original version just because I don't want to get my video flagged or rejected from contests and whatnot (this isn't a brickfilm, it's something for school).
Wow Smeagol that looks epic. Nice job really like the lighting.

Almost there, we can do this
I am sharing it around Facebook. Is it fine if LEGO Brickfilmers Gather uses that concept art as our cover to promote it?
Also, I'd donate to the cause, but I have no credit card, and Kickstarter doesn't take paypal. Hopefully my connections on Facebook will help
Kieren, thanks for spreading the word! Feel free to use the promo art or any images or videos from the Kickstarter!
Also, Kickstarter does accept prepaid debit cards, which you can probably pick up at a typical grocery store. Maybe that would work for you?

If you picked one (or some) up, and pledged $25 or more, you'd get the DVD. *wink, wink* I think that makes it all worth it right there. The Documentary is just a REALLY awesome bonus.
Wow, 86% funded!
Nearly there, folks!
Will the project still be funded even if it doesn't reach $10,000? So if you got up to $9000, would the project still get that money?

No, that is not how Kickstarter works. We have to at least meet our base $10,000 goal if we are to receive any of the funding. Indiegogo does have a flexible funding option, but we decided Kickstarter had several advantages over Indiegogo, and we are confident we will be able to meet our funding.
Also, we've been featured on Docurama! If we win the vote we will get some additional funding. Please consider voting for us! It does require a Facebook account to vote.
