Topic: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

Hi guys!

BertL here. I've been a long time brickfilmer and although I'm not really active anymore I love me some brickfilms just like all of y'all here.

Seeing as we're getting to the end of the year I was wondering which were your favorites and why. Also, this will allow us to maybe catch up on brickfilms some of us *coughnotmecough* may have missed. mini/smile

I am drawing a blank here.

This one is the first that comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgD7hYdjJF8

I guess I will edit this post if I think of anymore.

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

Well, just like BertL I haven't been active recently and I've missed a lot of brickfilms this year. However, I would like to add that Indus is indeed my favorite so far, I honestly liked it, the only thing I missed was more colorful "Nick Durron'ish" lighting style (if you've seen Jonathan's aka Nick's films you know what I mean) I think it would've added a final touch to make "Indus" completely epic.

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

The last three brickfilms PushoverProductions has made, all some of my favourite brickfilms ever. Indus is also great, and so is Homefront, very simple but very effective and in my opinion deserved to win BRAWL.

Also Obscured Outlooks, because how can you not love it.

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

The Nightly New at Nine Chapter 2 Robot!  was a great brickfilm, as was The Deadly Mission, The Beast and the Farmer,  Santa's Snowball, The Legend of the Samurai Ninja, Brickfilming is Just Awesome, TED-E, Freedom of Expression, and The Golden Chalice.

Lookout was remarkably good.  I'd also recommend Love in Black and White, and basically anything by Brotherhood Workshop

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

It's gotta be Homefront, I really loved everything about that one. As a matter of fact I loved most of the BRAWL films, Jon (jstudios) made a fantastic entry too.

Also, its not really a brickfilm but I think a few brickfilmers have really come into their own, like Walter Benson and Chris W. I think the community as a whole is producing better quality films now then it was at the start of the year which is always very refreshing and exciting to be part of!

Ok I just checked out "Homefront" and it's pretty good. I mean the animation could've been smoother, however the idea is really good and it's one of those brickfilms that successfully portraits a serious topic to the viewers.

It happened on Brick Avenue.

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

I really enjoyed A Twist of Fate
The execution is just fantastic.  Soppenjim is becoming one of my favourite animators.

Re: What are some of your favorite 2013 brickfilms?

These were pretty much all great.  2013 was another great year for brickfilming.
