Wow! That was cool. What did you use for the special effects?
Looks really good, but similar to what I've heard about Harry Potter duels/magic.
(Haven't seen 'em, but I hear that it's all lightening out of wands.)
Not that it's bad by any means, in fact it's very, very good, but....
Hobbit spoilers....
Have you seen Desolation of Smaug and how PJ portrayed that magic? If you are doing a LOTR short, I suggest modeling the magic effects off of that.
I also suggest, still assuming that it's for a LOTR short, to watch the wizard's duel in Fellowship and basing some off of that.
Nope it's was just a test I made. I spent an hour animating a quick something then edited it using a VFX software. It wasn't based on LOTR or Harry Potter; just based on a tutorial I watched.
