Well, there are several things at play here.
Most importantly is the fact that our resources section is hardly used/updated with new content/promoted/noticed.
So our programmers are more likely to fix issues and/or upgrade something else with their limited time.
Second, unless it's in the films section, which is automatic, nobody is allowed to embed videos.* (Unless it's COTY, because some nut with a lot of power seems to like that at lot.) So it may be difficult to enable that just for resources and not in the forums at large.
While linking to video tutorials would be a good idea, (And is possible now, but not encouraged) and that Resources could use a major upgrade, more often than not people just search the forums for an answer/tutorial, or make a new topic and make others look up the answer for them. I myself have two tutorials that I haven't really bothered to put in Resources, because for all the effort to put them into a special page, they won't hardly be seen. And chances are nobody would even know that they are there. On the other hand I have linked to them in the forums, and they have gotten noticed.
While the idea itself is great, and wanting to improve that section is commendable, but it's just not used that much by anybody. Of course, the flip side to that is that it isn't used because the set-up is less than helpful, and there aren't that many articles, but whatever. Well, there are a lot, but most are out-dated to some degree, and they're all so chopped up into different categories that it takes a while to find what you're looking for. I'm sure if there was a major push by the members to fix, upgrade and expand that section, then something could get done, (Possibly including video tutorials) but right now, there doesn't seem to be a demand for that.
*This is because some people's internet is really slow, and embedded videos take forever to load. Following a link is just as easy on us fast internet folks, and a lot easier on the slow internet folks.
Also, I find print tutorials with pictures to generally be more professional looking and helpful. But that's just me.
And sorry if this got off-topic a bit.
