Re: Will LEGO really license the Simpsons?

Seeing the interior has changed my mind, this set is really cool! That doesn't mean I will buy it though.

Doctor who would rock!  I have a lot of early Kre-O  Transformers sets, before they started going haywire with Kre-O.  They are never allowed to associate w/ my Lego collection, though.  I've seen transforming TF MOC figures as early as in the 1990s, which is harder to do because there were far fewer types of specialized small parts (and no BrickLink , and eBay was new).

Re: Will LEGO really license the Simpsons?

Let's face it guys, there are several Lego themes that aren't appropriate for younger kids. 1. Lord of the Rings, although nothing vulgar, the films are pretty violent and dark. I wouldn't let a kid under 10 watch those films. 2. Harry Potter, I myself have never seen the films, but what I have herd they are pretty dark to. 3. The Dark Knight, do I need to go there? My point is, that there Lego themes that most kids want be watching the films for. So we may see more of this stuff in the future. Just my thoughts.

Well, it is a series of kids' books and movies. I mean, that three-headed dog called Fluffy… mini/lol

Well like I said, I've never seen the films.

Re: Will LEGO really license the Simpsons?

Just because a LEGO theme is based off of a less kid oriented thing doesn't necessarily mean it would be bad.  So far from the PG-13 films LEGO has made into sets none of the more violent aspects of them have been translated into the sets, so the end up looking like harmless children sets.

It's just that the Simpsons looks really ugly in LEGO.

Now, if LEGO were to do something like Downton Abbey, I would totally want that.  Especially the matching footman's uniforms.

True.

Re: Will LEGO really license the Simpsons?

Agreed; I don't watch the show, but I've seen enough to know it would make great sets with some really great minifigs and pieces.

That would be awesome.
