Re: walk cycle

Nearly, but not quite. Looked to me like the 5 or 6 frame cycle, which is good, but the arms didn't swing, which is essential for a good walk cycle.

Re: walk cycle

yeah, I don't like swinging the arms, besides I don't swing them when I walk.
and that part about the frame thing, I watched Nathan Wells' tutorial on Youtube, and his was 3 frames per step. I really don't care about arm movement yet. I goin to try to do another screen test with arm movement. happy?

Re: walk cycle

You do. Everyone does. Just very subtly.

Really, you have to include arm swings if you want to make it look good. Just watch any decent brickfilm and have a look.

Re: walk cycle

no, I walk with my hands in my pockets.

Re: walk cycle

But minifigs do not have pockets. Therefore, they must swing their arms. Your argument is invalid.

Re: walk cycle

LOL. This conversation is hilarious.
The walk cycle was pretty good. But like Hazzat said, you should make the arms walk.
I just did a test with that, and believe me. It looks MUCH better than if you did it without moving arms.
EDIT:
Oh, and the only way to make a minifig LOOK like it's putting it's hands in it's pockets is if you take the hands off.
mini/tongue
EDIT:
And I have actually seen you walk with your hands moving.

It was 4 frame. 1 Leg up 2 In the middle 3 Leg Down 4 Both legs down.
I agree with JustKidden, this is hilarious.

Re: walk cycle

Ever seen the 1 frame walk? Noobs lift the leg, slide 17 studs, lift the other leg, slide 4 studs, lift the first leg, 9 studs, etc...

Re: walk cycle

LivingLego, if you don't like our helping comments, stop posting tests ''got it?''

''You don't have to tell him how great is coffee is man!''

Re: walk cycle

DO NOT BE HARSH.
NO GOT ITS!

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: walk cycle

Dude, i ever use ''got it'' but he did it on JustKiddens video, so I tought, let's do it on his own test.

''You don't have to tell him how great is coffee is man!''

Re: walk cycle

The walking wasn't too bad but add in those arms and it'll be close to perfect.
