Topic: [Test] Spaceship

This is an animation, camera movement, lighting, sound design and special effects test I animated in January.
I used a tinsel for the lighting, and Adobe Creative Suite for the post-production.

Oh my goodness, I must get some Christmas lights soon... You used those so effectively! Thanks for sharing the BTS photo, it was really beneficial. Great work!

Re: [Test] Spaceship

Superb use of lighting and Post-production effects.  The animation is at a low frame rate, but that's not as important as setting a mood, which you've done well!  One of my favorite tests this year.

I never realized that I can use christmas lights to bring different lighting. I always thought that I have to by something else. But now I haven't to buy anything. I have the light in my home. Thanks for the video response, Spider. mini/smile

Amazing! Was the all the panning actually animated, or was it done in post-production? If you animated it, then you have my highest respect!

Sometimes really cool thing can be done with ordinary objects, you just have to think of a new way to use the objects around you.

I animated the dolly shot in production, here is a picture of my set, you can see the graph paper used to have a steady translation between each frame :
