Ok, so for characters (officially) There are:

Johnny “Thunder” Grant  -  And Australian adventurer, in his 20's or 30's and treasure hunter. (Main Character)
Pippin Reed  -  A young American Journalist in her 20's (Main Character)
Harry Cane  -  American cargo-pilot. (Known for illegally shipping diamonds) "gruff" voice (Main Character)
Dr. Charles Kilroy  -  English Professor, OLD English Professor (Main Character)

The Villains are:

Baron Von Barron (Lord Sam Sinister)  -  German (or) Australian "evil villain" accent (Main Character)
Heinrich “Slyboots” Strober  -  German archaeologist, in his 20's or 30's (Secondary Character)
Natalia Ulko (Alexis Sinister)  -  Sister/Partner of Baron - A classic femme fatale (Main Character)

And the minor characters:

An unnamed Professor (just one or two lines)
Preston Whitmore  -  The wealthy leader of the A.F. (Archaeological Federation)

And, or course, background voices (like people in a cafe or in the street)

This is great because I love Johnny Thunder.

Did you know, before deciding on Holding Our Own, my first thought for a Brickfilm was to make one based on Pharaoh's quest.  I love high adventure brickfilms.  The Orb of Prosperity rocks!

UPDATE: The release date has been pushed back to July 4th.

I still don't have a completed script, and the plot outline has gone through a few changes... I'd prefer to delay this, as to give myself more time for creativity in the film.

It will (most likely) come out before then.

Update: The title has changed to "Expedition - The Dragon's Eye," as I've changed a few little things. I finished the script, and have tried to make it more similar to the 30's and 40's serials, (which was the inspiration for Indiana Jones) with my grandmother. (she grew up watching them in theaters)

In looking further into these movie serials, I discovered a certain series, that starred Johnny Weissmuller (better known for the role of Tarzan) in the character of "Jungle Jim." Aside from the actor's first name being Johnny, and his character having an unusual name (Jungle... Indiana... Thunder...?), I think that he may have been a partial inspiration for the character of Johnny Thunder.

Thus, I was thinking of doing something similar; having his name (the thunder part) be just like a "nickname." Thus, looking further into Johnny Thunder, I found that he was originally/sometimes called Sam Grant. Thus, the character in my series' name will officially be Johnny "Thunder" Grant. (His dad being referred to as Daniel Grant).

The other characters may have small name changes, or back-story edits, but without changing very much that the LEGO group originally created.

The characters will be:

On the standpoint of story, I've finished up the outline and have nearly completed the final edits of the script... With one or two characters still needed to film, all should begin by February/March.

Thus, soon, I will start looking for voice actors... Filling in all missing characters with an audition thread in the audio forum later... (probably around March/April) So, if you'd like to voice a character, it'd best to audition now, as I will start filling in roles within this next month... (and when I put up a thread under audio, it may be for only smaller roles).

UPDATE: Alright, I've finished editing the the first half of the script... The other two may be finished finalizing by this weekend

Most everything else is the same, apart from one renaming. (a minor character anyway)

So far (having completed the first two "Acts" of the screenplay) I have 11 scenes over about 18 pages... So, between 20 and 40 minutes... A longer brickfilm, but not quite a feature-length movie... However, depending on how I decide to film things, this could end up (especially the ending action scene) at 70 minutes: an almost average for animated movies.
