Topic: Comic Book / Film Noir Screen test

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQs4_3lXpmU

I'm testing the 'feel' of the video. I'm not too worried about the camera bumps or light flickers, I am more concerned with the overall comic book / film noir look.

I know it's almost impossible to tell from the < 2 second clip, but can this style hold up for a four to six minute movie?

Thanks in advance.

YouTube is under maintenance right now, keep trying.

Nice video, man.  I wish I could see a longer version so I could really judge the effects, but they're looking great so far!

Thank's I did, and it worked, as for the film, I liked the style, however the animation wasn't the greatest and

there was a few set bumps, but when I read the description, I read that you weren't going for that, overall I

liked the style. Keep at it! mini/wink

First and foremost, thanks for the quick replies and great feedback.

The test was quick and dirty.  Before I spend weeks framing shots and worrying about shadows, I want to make sure the photoshop effects aren't too distracting.

To answer my first question: I don't think it will hold up for a short.

I like the idea of the effect, it could be a little too strong.  Perhaps you could dial it back a bit by overlaying a black and white version of the source image at 10-20%, this would keep the effect but take a bit of the edge off of it.
