You're great for a new guy (if you're a new guy). effects were awesome, and the animation is very good. You're a talent, really!!
The walk cycle could use some work, as the arms didn't really line up with the movement of the legs. Most other aspects were great though! The special effects were beautifully done, and the image quality was consistent throughout the film. The camera didn't move enough to distract the watcher (because it moved just the slightest.) I think you did a great job with this, and that you just need to fix the walk cycle. (Don't worry, I made that mistake. )
AMAZINGLY EXCELLENT!!!
Thank you all for the possitive feedback. Much appreciated. I first started animating back in 2001 but had very limited means back then. Started to get back into it last year with some test shots when I got the QC9000 but started this in ernest at Xmas. Filming took just under 2 months and all the FX, editing and sound took another 5 weeks. I think all in all this took about 180-200 hours of evenings and sometimes into early mornings (work during the day at a law firm..!).
Thanks again for watching this though. It's much appreciated. The sequel is being written as we speak...!
Thanks

Wow. The effects were spectatular. The music really worked with the song, and the bashing sounds from the lightsabers were right on the mark. The walkcycle was okay, but something about it bothered me. I just can't tell what.
The walk cycle could use some work, as the arms didn't really line up with the movement of the legs.
Nice to see you posting this here. The animation and integration of backdrops is all quite nice, I look forward to your future work.
By the way, it'd be nice if, in the future, you could name threads in this forum after the film they are about. (For now I have changed the thread title from "New Film" to the film title.)
Thanks Smeagol. I'll remember that for future releases..!
Pure awesome, great effects. Keep up the great brickfilming!
That.. was AWESOME!!
I loved it!!!

Hi Thug and GoofySkull - Thanks for taking the time to watch it and comment.
Many thanks

The FX were awesome!
I used FX Home for my film as well and I think anyone going for big effect should invest time learning how to use the program. You did a great job and like I said on your youtube page, your cinematography is the best part of this film.
That was very good. At first when I saw the title, I thought it was going to be some low frame rate Star Wars rip-off with horrible effects. But it turned out to be the exact opposite. Great work! I was entertained the whole way through!
The only real problem was the walk cycle. It was choppy and could use some work. Otherwise, you're one of the greatest new members i've seen in a while.
Epic-ness, with great cinematography! I'll not cover the walk cycle, as others have already mentioned it often.
Btw, this short should be rated PA-- Pure Awesomeness.
I think the animation wasn't always too smooth, well just some short bits (maybe it's just my PC).I didn't think the walkcycle was too bad. Now anyway, I'm not a great fan of this Starwars stuff (or honestly dislike that creepy lightsaber fights), but I really liked, no.. loved this one!
Oh and I almost forgot to mention the awesome effects!
Evening all,
For some reason I can't post any new topics at the moment so sory for posting on this old topic. Many thanks to everyone who took time out to watch my last video. Just wanted to let you know that the sequel for Jedi vs Sith is now online and can be found here. I filmed this at 24fps on 2's hence why the filming style is a little different to the last one.
