I have read images and BBCode stuff and tried for hours to get my signature to show up and you can look at my sig and see what it looks like. I just can't get it to work! I have been trying to get this image to show up and I have been typing this in the blank (minus the period at the end)

You need to use the deep link for the image, not the Flickr viewing URL. The deep link in this instance is http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8306/7796 … a8_b_d.jpg. HOWEVER, this image is much, much larger than the maximum size for signature images, so you are not allowed to actually use this image as your forum signature.
I think that image is to large for the sig area. I'm not sure (don't have a sig obviously), but I think I saw some place that sig pictures had to be a specific size or less. You might try removing that ending slash also.
That is is about all that I can think of at the moment. Hope you can get it working.
Edit: Heh, Sméagol has the answer all right. And yeah, thought the picture was to big.

The problem is you are linking to the page with the photo, not the image itself.
The code you want will look like this:

How do you find a deep link for a Flickr? Just in case, heres the link to my Flickr.

That's not what doorway is looking for, they want to know how to get the link for the image to put in their signature.
To do that, you need to go to the "all sizes" page, right click the image and click "Copy image URL". Then you can put that in img tags in your signature.

I can see that you have copied the direct file location from your hard-drive. What you need to do is upload the image to an image hosting website such as Flickr or Brickshelf, then copy the image URL and put it in your signature between img tags, e.g.:
[.img]www.imagehostingsite.com/blabla/sig.png[./img]
(without the fullstops in the tags, which are only there so that this post won't try to display an image)
An easy way to do this is to select share on Flickr and then select the BBCode option and select the image size you want, try not to use anything wider then 800 pixals on the forum.
if you copy the code from Flickr it will look like this:

If you don't want the description under the image just paste the code

[/img][/url]and delete everything after those tags, but not the tags themselves.
You can also try Bricksafe to upload your LEGO-related photos (like your sig, if it is LEGO related). It's a really good alternative to Brickshelf (and doesn't have tons of outages like Brickshelf does).
