Topic: Rendering Issues

mini/blankexpression  I need help rendering my stopmotion sequence. My photos are in crystal clear shape, but when I render them as an .avi file, they get a bit blurry and unappealing. What am I doing wrong?

My life goes by 24fps.

Re: Rendering Issues

What software you're using?  What's your export settings.  We need a lot more detail before we can help you.

Re: Rendering Issues

At the moment it could be any number of reasons, my best guess is that you are exporting to a low quality, but as Lechnology said more details are needed before we can give any real advice. . .Perhaps you could try exporting as a different file type? Also check what resolution the initial pictures are, this could give some indication as to what the next step to take should be mini/smile

Re: Rendering Issues

You need to export into an uncompressed format ideally.

Re: Rendering Issues

Oops! Sorry. But lets get to the point, shall we...

Okay. I'm using WLMM (dont judge!) for the animation (and its looking really good). But, when I export it, huge blocks are obvious among the black backdrop. I've also used MonkeyJam and used uncompressed, but Im still getting the same result. Should I just deal with it? mini/sad

What export setting are you using in WLMM?

Re: Rendering Issues

Well, first things first: NEVER use Windows Movie Maker of ANY version for ANYTHING brickfilm related.

It doesn't do a good job of exporting at high resolution.

I would suggest getting MonkeyJam, and making your animations using that.

Re: Rendering Issues

Yeah. I use that for animation, but I've run into a zone of nowhere for editing. I try to not be cheap, but I cant get a job yet, so, I'll just have to be creative! mini/smile

Re: Rendering Issues

For editing, I would recommend Adobe Premiere.
You can get an older version (Elements 7-9) on eBay for about $30.
That's what I've used for the longest time.

Sorry that this is off topic but where? And what version was it? And what was the current version at time of the purchase?
