It works and I was wondering if I should use it?
If you were absolutely desperate. That thing has wretched quality, I've been trying to get rid of mine for years. If you can afford it, buy a Quickcam C910 or a 9000.
If you have a wobbly table you could use it to prop up the bad leg...
Seriously, your ideas deserve better. There are superior alternatives out there as RealBrick stated. With new webcam models appearing almost every other year the older models (such as the 9000) keep going down in price.
If you're itching to use it, get some tests done while you wait for the better camera to be delivered.
