Seriously, your ideas deserve better. There are superior alternatives out there as RealBrick stated. With new webcam models appearing almost every other year the older models (such as the 9000) keep going down in price. 

If you're itching to use it, get some tests done while you wait for the better camera to be delivered. :lol:
