Re: The Wizard of Oz

Do it like in the movie, set up some lego trees like gentleman above already stated, and use map paintings for the backdrop.

Re: The Wizard of Oz

Are you doing all the voices? You should put a casting call so its not just you! unless you use the audio from the movie ( i  personally like the first)

Re: The Wizard of Oz

The title looks great, but will the background be moving around like it's smoke, or will it remain static?
The text is perfect, did you make it yourself, or copy it from somewhere?

The background on the other hand...well... mini/confused
It looks WAY to abstract, and appears to have been made by smearing some paint on the paper, and then shooting it with a paintball gun. I did some backgrounds before with pastels, here are the links, and even though they didn't turn out that good, at least you could tell what they were supposed to be. I'm not sure what yours is, and the colors aren't very natural, (Pink and yellow mostly) meaning that they don't look like, say, a green field, or a forest. The dots also aren't helping with the realism.

I'm not trying to be mean or harsh whatsoever, but I'd set that aside and start over if I was you.
I'll see if I can find some good examples for backgrounds, and then edit links to those in this post. (As mine aren't really very good.) mini/wink

EDIT:
After looking though a number of brickfilms, I've found that most just have a solid color background, (Some shade of light blue) with varying amounts of trees, rocks, walls or other such things inbetween the camera and the background. And the few that have a more complex background are usualy green-screened. So you may want to try the first method, and see if you like that, but if not, you may want to touch up the background before you film with it. mini/wink

it moves like smoke, I made that background long ago and am revising it but if you see TWof OZ the backgrounds are very abstract

But now you'll have to mask everyone ALL THE TIME

Ever heard of Green-screening?

Anyway, with the background, this one is much better, a change I would make is having the yellow road extend more to the right, so that at the bottom of the pic it covers nearly the entire background. That way, you can have the baseplate be yellow and it would have a "forced-perspective" look. I like the sun and sky, but I think the hills come up a little too much, but that may be what you need for the set.

Re: The Wizard of Oz

You mean that is just some placeholder or poor example for burning head?

Re: The Wizard of Oz

Thats pretty harsh!! its not a burning head if you type in the The Wizard of Oz Wizard Scene on youtube the scene will come up and thats what i'm trying to accomplish and the fire will NOT be there, it'll be done in after effects.

Re: The Wizard of Oz

Yes yes, I mean that. So that picture is just some example for the scene and in the real movie you will make it great in After Effects in the Wizard scene. Because that picture don't look very cool. I'm sorry if I said something wrong. So, you will make cool fire effect in the real movie. That's I thought before your message, but then you comment to my message that I said something harsh. I reall waiting ofr this movie, and if you really have After Effects, the movie will be epic and cool.

I don't know am I understanding right, but you said that's the final head of Oz, so it's not LEGO. It looks like minifig series' which's head by paint in something so then you do it in LEGO and make the fire in After Effects and then it will be awesome, right?
