Good to hear that everyone's happy with the themes, etc.
Do we have to follow both themes?
It's optional, like last year, as to what theme you follow.
Correct me if I am wrong but the newbie award is not going to be limited to people who haven't entered a bim contest before.
Anyone who enters can ask to qualify for the newcomer award. Essentially it's for newer brickfilmers to have a chance.
I didn't see anything about jokes can we put them in.
Thanks for the reminder, I'll add that to the topic now.
To help you guys, you should check out some horror classics
Ta, Kinz. Yeah, watching Hitchcock in particular is a good idea, as that's kinda the suspense I'd like. The Birds is a particularly good example of making a horror out of ordinary things/creatures.
is there anything against copyright music?
Use whatever music you wish. This is an unofficial contest technically, so the rule doesn't apply. Browse some horror soundtracks for inspiration.
And also, is the word 'hell' as used in the sentence 'what the hell' not allowed to use?
That's fine. Hell, damn, etc. are all allowed. And in moderation, some others are as well. Though I'd advise to tone it done if possible, thus minimising the chance of disqualification.
It's like the special Olympics.
I'm surprised a lot of you don't know what this is. The Special Olympics is for people with disabilities. Although that wasn't my intention, as I explained above ^^ as a response to Buikes.
How do you enter in the different categories? Do you say it in your film?
That's optional really. When you're submitting it to me just remember to add which ever category you chose.
Hope this cleared up any unanswered questions.
