These are looking a lot better!
The one I don't particularly like all that much is the 
one. Even though the name suggests it is green, the current is just perfect as it is (color wise)
Here's all the versions of Mr Green that have been tried, in order. I like the second last one best.

Here's a couple more. A "lips sealed" one like the emote on MSN and a speechless one. Actually that gives me an idea for the spam one. I could have the zipped up one with its mouth open, saying "spam!" then zip the mouth up. I'll do that after dinner.
It's cool how much these have improved as suggestions have been made. Here's Bluntys smile, then my first one, then the latest one lined up for comparison.

That troll, banned and swirly eyes looks perfect! My only nitpick about FAIL is in agreement with Sméagol.
Sméagol's 'cool dude' with hat and glasses...maybe if the hat were tightened up a bit to be more fitting?
Other than that it looks great!
Some more ideas that came to mind...

geek (glasses? teeth?)
girl/female (lips? bow? hair?)
male/boy (beard?)
winner! (holds up sign?)
chef (hat & moustache?) [I dunno if this would be a useful one. It would fall under the Indy emot most likely.]
Batman!
In before the lock (lock & key?) [I dunno if you remember Stefan's emot with the key being tossed up and down.]

Wow Sean those are awesome! And you made a sweatdrop one! Can you do one that corresponds to ¬.¬ please?
The banned, jaw drop and bump ones had me in stitches, although the wallbanger seems a bit jerky, maybe it needs a few more in between frames.
Not sure about the mrgreen one, the shade's not right - you can't make out the shading properly.
PS: can I have your base file (psd preferably)? I'm itching to have a go at this myself.
PPS: I've just noticed that the wink emote is still physically impossible (seriously, try it).

Here's some gold, silver and bronze emotes for first, second and third respectively.
Blue, I'll do a ¬.¬ now. I'll also have another go at Mr Green. I could give you the base file, but it wouldn't do you much good as I've been doing most of these with one layer and editing the colors manually. You'd do just as well to simply grab 
and play around with it.
And hehe, I never realised that wink was impossible. I based it off Bluntys anyway, and I think it looks fine (though as you pointed out, physically impossible).

I like the Gold, Silver and Bronze idea. Would work great in the Caption Contest and Cinematography Challenge.

Hopefully we shouldn't have a need for a 'FLAME' emot, but I was just thinking that we have had a Lego monkey in the past but never a dragon.
How about a fire breathing dragon for the 'FLAME' emot? (And a knight to slay the dragon? 
)
I love all these emotes now, and I really like the gold, silver and bronze ones for contests. I'd like to use them for announcing the THAC winners. I don't suppose you'd have a problem with that though would you Sean?

Dew, I'll work on a flame emote now.
Dude! The ¬.¬; one is awesome! Although I'd nudge the sweatdrop a pixel more to the right personally. And the jumping for joy is just adorable.
That's a much better shade for mrgreen - I had a bash at it myself, with the old face and your face face to see which looked better. I also tried adding the gradient that's on the old one.

I would think that the jumping for joy would come under the heading of excited?
You could make a Zombie emotion.
