I press Ptr+Scr on my keyboard,
open MS Paint,
paste the screen,
select the smilie I want,
make the screen so small the smilie wont fit in it,
paste the smilie in (making the screen larger),
go to Image> Attributes,
memorize the size of the smilie,
open GIMP,
make the new image with the same size as the smilie and Fill With: Transparency,
edit the smilie how I want it,
save as a .png file,
upload to Majhost,
show you guys!

EDIT: oh yeah, for the Exploding Head, I edited it frame by frame in GIMP, naming them 1, 2, 3 etc. and then imported the frames into Barbarosa GIF Animator.
