I disliked the old Mr. Green, but for the sake of not having two Mr. Greens I'm willing to meet you halfway on this. I've updated Mr. Green a little, he now has a wide mouth similar to the old one and is a bluer shade of green. 
I think the face is too pointy the way it is now. The old Mr. Green (
) had a much better looking face. Now, if we combined the old eyes and mouth with the new color and head shape, I think it would be perfect.
The new one looks way more like a Lego head + it's way more green, as opposed to a teal or turquoise...
The mouth is identical in shape to that one, Littlebrick (albeit a pixel lower, so it's not so smashed together.) Personally I don't like the look of the eyes on Blunty's design, they don't really look like eyes to me because they're so wide and close together.
I think the mad emoticon ( 
) should have his I twitching. That would make it awesome.

Could you please make it so that the emotes don't repeat, because it's really annoying to read a post when all these rapid movements are in the background like: 
Hmm, that's an interesting idea. Doesn't bother me much, though, that's how most forums are. I think some of these emotes wouldn't make any sense with just a still image to judge from.

I agree. While some emotes such as a simple smiley face are fine being a still image, some such as nodding, rolling eyes, laughing, etc kind of require animation to get the point across smoothly.
I don't see a problem with them repeating unless some one filled an entire post with them in which case they would be just as annoying as still images.

Smeagol, maybe you can add a function that displays only JPEG or PNG smileys.
What would that accomplish?
You can choose if you want to see the animated one, or not.
Nah I think they are great like they are, as long as they are used appropriately, it will be fine.
