Re: Walk Cycle

Different from most of walk cycle. I like it. I had a similar walk cycle, that I used in a non-finished 18 fps brickfilm. What Framerate do you use?

Re: Walk Cycle

It looked like everytime a leg went out, he moved a stud forward. This tutorial should help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwaDTySZBOU

Re: Walk Cycle

MPFist0,

Well, because I was using the dreaded Windows Live Movie Maker program, I made each frame 0.12 of a second.
If your wondering why I used Windows Live movie Maker, it's because I'm still having trouble with monkeyjam.
Glad you liked it mini/smile

LTWProductions,

Thanks for the link man, and I've already seen it, but I decided to create my own walk cycle. But I guess it really isn't  a walk cycle, it's just long strides I guess. Also, that is the first walk cycle I have ever done with effort.

Re: Walk Cycle

Personally, I prefer this walk cycle to the one LTW posted. I saw nothing wrong with it.
If you have troubles with monkey jam, feel free to ask in the forum, someone will be able to answer you.

Re: Walk Cycle

Try NXTmaniacs tutorial, it provides smoother walking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j93RF2DGGdk

It makes since when you say stride. It does looks like a stride. keep practicing and you will get better. Trust me.

Re: Walk Cycle

Thanks guys, but there were some minor problems with several frames.
You see the minifigure actually moves a stud to the left, because he kept falling over.
Should I redo one, then upload a video showing how to do the procedure, or not?

Re: Walk Cycle

Yes, try having more frames with tinier movements and increase the framerate. Maybe some plasticene would help in not making it fall.

Re: Walk Cycle

Make the pictures a second 0.08 which is about 12fps i think mini/smile
