Topic: Cloud effects

Is there a way to make clouds in videos similar to the way you make water in the squirlz software (I can't remember the entire name). I can't pay more than ten dollars.

Re: Cloud effects

What if you used masking to make brick clouds float in the sky?

That's how I'd do it.

Re: Cloud effects

The only really nice way to do it is in After Effects which is really expensive but I would say take some pictures of clouds and touch them up in Gimp and composite them onto your video.

Re: Cloud effects

Who needs clouds? I think that a piece of blue paper makes a convincing sky. You don't need to do all the extra work putting clouds in.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Cloud effects

Well, if you want clouds, why don't you sticky some LEGO clouds on your background blue poster. Then, when you take the pic just move the cloud a bit along with the other minifigs or what have you.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Cloud effects

I think cotton would do the work (I'm using the correct word, right?). You could somehow attach it to the paper.

Re: Cloud effects

You can do it in Blender.

Here's a tutorial

Using a similar method I created:
