Topic: Oldies: An Update Thread
Introduction.
We all know what it's like to want to belong, right?
To want to have that place you know, you without a doubt know, is you're home.
This is something a lot of us as humans, no matter what country you're from or what race you are, tend to take advantage of until we've lost it. While you're here reading this, while I'm here writing it, there are hundreds of people that don't have this place to belong, this home.
And I'm talking about people who've lost a home. And it's not just some physical place built with a bunch of cut down trees. Home is where you belong, and it can be found with anything or anyone, no matter how strange they are. And a lot of us loose sight of what that home is until we've already lost it.
So that brings me to the point of this topic…
This is an update thread. Here, I shall keep you all up-to-date on my latest feature, the sci-fi comedy film with a heart 'Oldies'. So, why don't you guys go get some popcorn, grab an ice cold coke, and sit back and relax while I tell you all about it?
No? Well then how about I speed tell you about it like those guys in the medicine ads who try to say 'it might kill you' so fast you can't hear it as you walk away?
Okay, let's begin.
What is it?
This is a sci-fi comedy film with a heart. It tells a funny story parodying the alien invasion genre, but it also tells of these two idiots that have lost this home, and when they finally find that second chance have to defend it from ghosts of their own past.
The film is written like an hour to an hour and a half feature in the 'Three Act Structure', but is split up and animated into separate ten to fifteen minute segments, making it into more of a miniseries.
What's the story?
It fallows the story of these two elderly alien goofballs, Oldy and Old Coot, who after their home, a moon known as Asaar, is destroyed by a mysterious natural disaster find themselves searching the galaxy for a new place to belong.
And they finally find that, with a young boy named Twerp Lego, son of the famous archeologist Dr. Johnny Lego (a character from another related film). But Twerp has problems of his own, as with a bully at school getting him grounded, and the engineering convention known as the Brickfair going on. He has too much on his mind as it is! Must less not only keeping these two idiot hid in his closet, a task much like keeping an over hyper Chihuahua from smelling out new territory, from not only his family but form the peace keeping organization known as BRICK who seems to think the two are a threat. Oh, and don't forget, he also has to help the two morons save the Earth from the other Asaar survivors, who just happen to be demented on taking over the Earth and wiping out the human race.
Whose in it?
Well as I have yet to write all parts this will DEFINITELY grow later on, but here's the current crew credits. Some people may be recruited for doing textures, but for the most part I'll be doing the rest of the work.
