The Camping Trip

Youtube

A short film I made back in June for a 4-H project.  It was pretty rushed, so I had no time to find good voice actors, and the animation is pretty sloppy.  Still, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, considering the time frame.

Re: The Camping Trip

Not too bad! The story was a bit topsy turvy, but wasn't sub-par, plus there were a few flickers, but that was about the worst of it. The animation was very nice and smooth (maybe a tiny bit jittery at times) and the set design was decent. Overall I really enjoyed this, despite it's flaws.

I'll be back animating soon! Exams and computer faults are keeping me away </3

Re: The Camping Trip

I didn't enjoy this much. The story was a bit slow, and not extremely funny.
However, I liked your animation very much, whilst it still needs a bit of polishing off, I think it's great, and you have the potential to makes something super extraordinary one day. And that got you a subscription.

Re: The Camping Trip

Nice one. It probably would have looked better in widescreen and some more down to earth level camera angles and lighting could have been pumped up a little more. However, the music choice was great! Good beginning on your first film here!

Yeah, I know.  I was under a pretty strict time frame, so I didn't have much time to write the script.  Really, my heart just wasn't really in this whole thing seeing as I didn't have enough time to brainstorm a plot that I was truly interested in.

Widescreen would have been nice, but sadly Stop Motion Pro only animates at a resolution of up to 800X600 with no widescreen, so sadly unless I upgrade to the HD version, I won't be animating in widescreen.

Re: The Camping Trip

You should upgrade to that HD version of Stop Motion Pro. Not just for widescreen, but the HD version allows any resolution your camera is capable of. I upgraded from Action! Plus, and the upgrade price was $40. (I have'nt installed the new version yet). I think that fullscreen is better for a comedic film and widescreen is better for a cinematic film. If you're going to use widescreen or if you're going to use fullscreen, get Action! HD for nice and crisp picture quality.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.
