Just something I've been working on the past week. I wanted to try out my new camera and the Lightsaber effect. I don't think it was too bad, but the animation could be better.
The lightsaber looked good. What program did you use? And yes, the animation does need some work.
For the Lightsaber? I used Gimp. For general editing I use Corel VideoStudio.
I thought it was alright, I mean, the lightsaber looked good and the lighting looked lkind of dramatic, so yeah, over-all, nice! 
It was good, but the landing seemed too slow. It didn't have enough impact. I suggest you make it quicker and smoother.
The light saber looked pretty good though.
Yeah, I think I have a lot to work on. I am planning on entering spugesdu's contest so I will post a couple more animation tests while I am waiting for some bricks from BrickLink.
The animation issues have already been pointed out, so I will just say that the lightsaber effects were good, and the lighting was spot on.
