Might work. I'll see what other people can suggest and make a decision.

What I would be thinking is gray skies. Some buildings are boarded up and some have holes in the windows and stuff. But I don't think buildings in ruin would fit the theme. Definitely put in some graffiti and vandalism too.
That's a pretty good idea.
The first scene in the script has been finished! Here's a short part of it:
ALFRED
Sir, I have been waiting for you for a very long time. Where have you been?
BRUCE
Notice that bike? (points at the motorcycle)
ALFRED
You bought another motorcycle?
BRUCE
It's worth a million bucks, that bike.
ALFRED
Sir, if you keep on buying stuff how are you supposed to pay your debts?
BRUCE
I already did.
A gunshot is heard from outside the mansion.
BRUCE
Somebody's here.

It sounds kinda small. I would suggest getting someone to do a voice over/narration at the beginning of the film explaining everything as the camera pans down slowly at first then shows shots of ruined Gotham. Then, add to the beginning of what you have a little more. Show how Batman came back and make it a little more in depth. That's just my opinion though. It's your film.
or Have batman have flash backs thought the first bits...
That was only a small bit of the scene I wrote. The beginning will have Bruce riding his motorcycle in the night with the starting 'stuff' (Thunderbolt Films presents, etc.)

Cool, good idea. Also, make it rain. Every dramatic film looks better with rain.
Every dramatic film looks better with rain.
If done well.
I'll try. No concrete promises, though.
THE FULL EPIC FIRST SCENE.
Fade in:
EXT. GOTHAM freeway- NIGHT
THUNDER STRIKES. It begins to RAIN.
push down to:
Neon lights fill Gotham. Few cars, but not many. Wayne Towers stands proudly above all buildings. Behind it, a black motorcycle emerges. BRUCE WAYNE is riding it.
BRUCE (V.O)
(cuts of Gotham and Bruce)
I was born for a reason. A reason that is still yet to be found. I'm not a hero, nor am I a villain. Being a hero or villain doesn't seem to be a reason. I, am the protector of Gotham. I, am The Dark Knight. I,

Bruce reaches WAYNE MANOR. He

He gets off the motorbike and removes his helmet.

A gunshot is heard from outside the mansion.
BRUCE
Somebody's here.
Bruce pulls out his gun, exits the garage through the back door (Alfred follows) and...
INT. wayne manor - back - night
they enter the mansion.
BRUCE
(turns to Alfred)
Call the police.
Alfred runs...
int. wayne manor - dining room - night
to the dining room to call the police.
back to:
int. wayne manor - night
Bruce searches the bedroom, toilet and living room windows.
INT. wayne manor - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Bruce peeks through the window.
Bruce's pov: Jason todd is standing on bruce's limo, holding a gun.
Bruce immediately runs to the front door and
EXT. wayne manor - front - NIGHT
opens it.
jason todd
Hey, Bruce. Did I wake you up?
BRUCE
(pauses)
What do you want, Jason?
JASON TODD
Wait. What do (points to himself) I want?
BRUCE
I'm asking you, Jason, what do you want?
JASON TODD
What do I want? WHAT DO I WANT? A few years ago, you never even bothered to ask me that! It was all about you. You betrayed me! And now you'll have to pay the price.
Jason pulls out a bottle of oil and throws it into
int. wayne manor - antique showroom - night
the antique showroom. (where Bruce keeps his father's valuables) The oil spills out slowly.
back to:
EXT. wayne manor - FRONT - NIGHT
bruce
No, Jason! Please!
JASON TODD
(lights up a matchstick)
You put me in misery, so now I'll do the same!
Jason throws the matchstick into the antique showroom.
BRUCE
NO!!!
Bruce watches his father's valuables burned in the fire in despair.
JASON TODD
Is it fair now?
BRUCE
Those were 20 years of my father's valuables. And now, it's GONE.
JASON TODD
50/50. It's justice, Bruce. It's justice.
Jason runs to his car. Bruce takes a shot at him with his gun but misses. Jason drives away into the darkness. Alfred runs out to meet Bruce.
ALFRED
I couldn't call the police. The line was cut. Who was that?
BRUCE
Todd. Jason Todd. Put out the fire, Alfred. I'll search for him.
Bruce runs back into the mansion.
cut to:
int. wayne manor - cave - night
Bruce, already dressed as Batman, walks to the Bat-pod and drives off. The smoke from the exhaust pipes fill the room, behind it, the background fades away and turns black. The smoke clears and reveals:
CITY OF DARKNESS
Is it good?
Very good. I like it. The only thing I think is missing is where Bruce has been? Or is it going to be revealed later in the movie? What I would do is when Alfred asks where has he been? Bruce says something like, I've been on vacation, or I've been researching. Something mysterious and vague that tells the audience that it will be revealed later in the story.
Also, I really love the rain bit.
Thanks. His whereabouts will be revealed after this scene. You know that 'six years later' thing.

batman never uses a gun.
other then that, pretty good
batman never uses a gun.
He uses a LEGO gun.
I might be doing some experimenting on miniatures for high-rise shots of Gotham City. I won't be doing it like this. I'm gonna build the miniatures bigger (not THAT big ) so that you can feel some realisticality in it. When I finish these tests, I'll post them here.
I'm also thinking of doing some test screenings of the characters so that I know how their characteristics are like, how they act, etc.
I like it so far, I like how you put Jason Todd in there, and he burns his father's valuables. (Reminds me of "Batman Begins")
Scene 1: 4.7 / 5 STARS
P.S Batman / Bruce Wayne never uses a gun, nor a Lego gun. (LOL)

Yeah, that was just for fun's sake putting it in there. Also, the second scene will be at Italy!

Italy? Cool, I live in Italy. What city?
Also, I'd love to do voices at least for that, but I probably can't.
Anyway, good luck with it.

Somewhere in Campobasso, capital of Molise.
