Re: Community Forum Changes

Well, meh n00bed self just made a google group for BiM's save the antisocial animator campaign.
If you want to join, PM me your google email or whatever so I may invite you.
I did this so that only BiM members would be able to join.
And here's the link to the Google Group. I hope this works. mini/confused

Re: Community Forum Changes

Alrighteh! I guess I am sort of a n00b for requesting to join. mini/confused

Re: Community Forum Changes

I think the best way to get in the community section, if you really want to, it's to show maturity, gain respect with that, and, of course, make some brickfilms (quality brickfilms). Complaining won't help much.

Re: Community Forum Changes

There is't much complaining will do

Re: Community Forum Changes

This is just for the time being.

Re: Community Forum Changes

I'm thinking I might want to join that. But you know my E-mail, so I don't need to PM you.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

I'll be sticking with BiM.

Oh and I understand why I wasn't let in, I've been sort of a little !@#$ lately. So thorry 'bout dat. But I have another quarrel gnawing at my head.

Most of the moderators don't make any films at all. Especially you Smeagol, I understand why, you have many other things on your mind, because you're more mature and have much more responsibilities then most of us, but you still haven't made a film in what seems like ages, well, there's the live-action stuff, but as for brickfilms, it seems you don't do that nearly as often as before. As for the other Mods, they too pump out as much films as the next guy, trolls even make more films then most of you. Even the n00bs make substantially more films then any of us, yet being of poor quality, they still make a ton more. So the community itself is way more productive then a certain lot of you. Call me a hypocrite if you will, because I kind of fit in with that lot. But I've been moving and I'm having parental/family troubles, so that's why I'm not filming very much stuff at all. You guys are pretty much just normal brickfilmers with bold, customizable name-tags who are way more informal then the average brickfilmer. Just a point I found slightly irritating. But! I do think the Community removal is a good thing in some respects.

(No offense guys.)

Now I'm waiting to get my a$$ kicked by a mod/experienced member. Like Lechnology, or even Smeagol.

Do you honestly believe that BiM's staff is a couple of people who don't brickfilm and are informal apes that parade around the internet in search of a troll to yell at?

I WAS RIGHT!

(about the mod/experienced member thing)

And as a reply, no, I don't think that, I just think that everyone has pretty much the same problem here. Well, at least the older members. Because we have much more things to do in life. Plus, brickfilming is very time consuming and frustrating. So many of us don't get the time to make something astounding. This includes a majority of the mods.

Also, I didn't say you didn't brickfilm, I said you, and we, don't get the time to do it as often as we like, sorry if my wording is unclear. I don't think you're informal, what I meant to say was, formal. Sorry about that, I was ranting a bit and I confused the words.

You guys are all respected. The enforcement and peace you keep is remarkable, sorry for making mistakes in my opinion, angering you a fair bit. And as for parading around the internet in search of trolls. No. People here openly say that they are trolls, which is odd, because they don't seem like trolls at all. They pretty much just post a bit more then the average member and have semi-strong opinions. Uh, I'm digressing and I'm losing touch with my post... what I mean is, that we all have issues in life that are unforeseen and unfortunate, and then people who don't get the time to brickfilm do other menial tasks, like Minecraft, and socializing in the Community center. Now I know

You know what. !@#$ it. My opinion doesn't matter, you're right I'm wrong. Sorry y'all.

Re: Community Forum Changes

It's not about how much films you make, I think it's about how active you are in what sections of the forums. Anyway, everyone should stop whining and deal with it.

Hmmm... mini/blankexpression
When I come to think about this, I wish this topic could be muted.
It's going on forever and ever about the same thing.

Smeagol, is it possible that you can disable posting on this topic now?
It's kind of worn-out... mini/blankexpression

That's known as locking.

Hopefully I'm not too rude...

This entire topic is about the community forums closing. That's basically why it's about the same thing. But it's starting to turn into a "chat" about a new community, which you have added to 14 posts in 2 days, which is one of the reasons why the community forum is closing. In the threads there, people would spam up multiple times a day (I don't deny it. I have spammed the Minecraft Thread... and I'm glad it's gone; I've gotten into animation again). The amount of time you've spent hanging around this one thread, and also making a new community, you could have already started (maybe finished) a brickfilm.

Re: Community Forum Changes

I've already noticed more activity in the 'Film-making' section!

Re: Community Forum Changes

Does this mean that with you reviewers spending less time deleting/posting unnessecary threads in the community and actually review more films? Because I have admittedly seen more films coming into the directory, well done. mini/wink
And, LegoandStickFigs, you are the one making the most posts in this thread, so don't whine about how it's going on and on about the same thing when it's your doing.
And to be honest, I'm glad you guys are doing this. The community forum distracted me a lot from animating my current film. Sure, big voice acting problems and not enough bricks set me back a considerable distance, but distraction and laziness were the main culprits, and if I want to alk about "wahtever" to someone, I could just go on Skype or the BiM chat so, thanks guys. mini/smile

Re: Community Forum Changes

I  don't brickfilm as often as I used to. Mainly time: I am away for 3 weeks in about 1 hour.
I still wish to come here, for technique and helping others in my strengths.

Reviewers and Moderators are two separate people. Reviewers work the Directory, while Moderators work the Forums. Some (particularly Jargon) can be both at the same time, but they usually aren't.

Re: Community Forum Changes

I was mainly reffering to them both, see how I put "deleting/posting"?
Anyway, I'm animating right now, so.... you're tactics are clearly working.... mini/tongue

I think it'll be ok.

Re: Community Forum Changes

Though I'm flattered that I have managed to gain a small reputation for 'quality' (and not quantity) posts, I must say this has been a major wake-up call. To be quite honest I was thinking about how much of my time generally browsing on the computer has been taken up by reading Cafe Corner, The Minecraft Thread! or something similar. Even with my 'ability' to post in the community, I shan't be doing it as often as I used to. Brickfilming is what this site is about; brickfilming is what I'll be here to learn about. Thank you Moderators, as this change could well help to jump-start many other's animating time as well as my own. I suppose time will tell who has taken everything on board and who hasn't.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.
