Re: Introduce Yourselves

hi Im Frankie.
im new to bricksinmotion.com
i have a passion for films and like music a lot.
i started of doing live action videos but due to no actors i started brickfilming.
one of the reasons i love brickfilming and stop motion is because you can make anything happen either with a brick figure or a peice of paper.
when im older i want to be a a professional film maker.
and maybe a writer.
althought im not very good at brick filming, i would like to belive ill get better, and maybe a little more notice.
so yeah thats me.;)

Getting started is one of the more difficult things to do. It took me ages to get the basics, but here, you can find a lot of useful advice and critique for those who ask of it.

Here are some really great tutorials to help you get started:

Hello, I am Lucas Mass. I'm 15 years old and I live in Sweden, I am well experienced in stop motion animation and editing in various softwares like Sony Vegas Pro (all of them), Final Cut, Windows Movie Maker and iMovie. I also have some experience in After Effects but I don't use it that often. I hope I will get to know you guys better in the future as it seems really nice here mini/bigsmile

Re: Introduce Yourselves

No offense, but you're kind of out-of-date. By the way, how much can a robot from the 1990s do? mini/tongue

Welcome to Bricks In Motion (although I happen to know you've been around for a few months. mini/bigsmile)!

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Greetings.  A reintroduction... I haven't been on this site in a while.  But the one brickfilm I posted here (so long ago) actually won a cash prize, so that was cool. (Not $thousands or $millions - be real. LOL)

Keep at it!  I look forward to seeing everyone's work.

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Greetings,

I'm Walter. I've established myself in other LEGO fan communities over time, but never this one. I've lurked on here (and brickfilms.com before the move) for years, watching films and reading users' posts. I've always wanted to brickfilm but I was never able to because of time and money. The passion and desire has come and gone over the years, but I'd always find myself returning here, hoping there'd be some new great LEGO shorts to watch. In the past couple of months I received a great opportunity to start making films. I had some cash I could spend on the hardware required to do this. All I needed was the right stuff, and with a little help from friends and some of the users on here, I've obtained a laptop and camera. I've shot tests and am currently learning the basics. I am hoping to be able to complete a short film by the time the next THAC approaches. I've always wanted to enter one, and perhaps now I will be able to do so!

I've built and photographed, but never animated with LEGO. I hope to have fun and get better along the way. Thanks for reading. mini/smile

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Welcome Walter Benson! Be sure to read "A beginners guide to bricksinmotion!".
THAC is a very fun holiday contest.
Be sure to watch some tutorials as well! I recommend checking out the resources section of the site.

I barely post ever since my computer broke, and I don't feel like I've properly introduced myself, so here it goes:
I am Troodon. I am from Russia, but I have moved to America. I've known about the art of brickfilming since stumbling across a brickfilm while using YouTube for the first time back in 2008. I didn't figure out how to make a brickfilm until 2011. I game myself the studio name "cool dynamite productions". It wasn't very original, and neither were my films. Much, much later, I changed my studio name to "Lime Brick Studios", and got a lot more originality put into my films. I have not made a brickfilm since BRAWL, and that film never got finished. I am working on a film.

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Hmmm I just realised that I haven't introduced myself I don't think. Anyway I'm Charlie and i've been properly active here for about 9 months now and making Brickfilms since 2008 (well 2fps brickfilms) and I like to think I've improved abit since then! mini/lol

Unfortunally though I haven't made a 'proper' film since Easter 2012 with a few unsuccessful attempts such as failed Kitchen Sink entry, due to me being the world's laziest person. But I'm trying with hard on what seems to be a potentially very good storyline and actually make something.

I just want to say how awesome everyone here seems to be mini/smile

Hi all, I'm Tim Drage of Spite Your Face Productions. You may remember us from such brickfilms as Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO, Star Wars: The Han Solo Affair and Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock mini/smile

I've been totally out of the brickfilm scene for way too long working on non-LEGO animation and making strange noise/music, currently working on a new self-produced Spite Your Face film Yvette Horizon, a live action sci-fi adventure with stop motion and CG effects. Please take a look here and spread the word/support any way you can: http://www.indiegogo.com/yvettehorizon

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Hello everybody. My name's John and I'm a brickaholic. At present I'm just lurking away but I hope to start making some contributions in the new year. Happy winterval!

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Hello there, I'm Z.

I am not a new member, just a new identity for someone who stopped posting here for a long time.

I decided to make a new identity because my last one was a spammy mess with a bad reputation. This time around I will focus only on animation.

It will only be the occasional one though, as I have a life to work around haha. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. mini/bigsmile
