Hm, doesn't look that bad after they explained the story a little bit, finally. But I don't think they should have to say every single hit movie James Cameron ever made in the trailer. ![]()
I have to watch that!
No one had better posted this on a previous page...
Trailer for new Dreamworks SKG film
As expected from Dreamworks Animation, this film looks awful. Not only is the voice for the main character very annoying, the dragon has to be the worst dragon I've ever seen, even worse than that thing from Enchanted. The "humor", well, I'd feel like I was committing a crime against humanity by laughing at much of anything in this trailer, though that may be due to my extreme dislike of anything Dreamworks. It doesn't matter, however; I didn't feel like laughing at any of the stuff anyway. The CGI is nothing special, either. So, yeah; just your average film from Dreamworks that I'm never going to watch.

Are you kidding me? Jay Baruchel is awesome.
EDIT: but ya, the movie looks dumb...

Haven't they done a story like that a million freaking times ? And are even the Trailer texts getting ugly ????

Wow, the dragon in the trailer looks like pay-doh.
I like the dragon the most of the whole trailer TBH,
The most unoriginal storyline possible, and the humor is TERRIBLE.
Oh. My. God.
I AM SO DANG EXCITED.
well, this will be different. ![]()
Avatar is officially rated PG-13; check out it's IMDB page. I personally think this is a good thing, because a large chunk of the audience would have been lost, had it been rated R, and for a movie with such a budget as this (somewhere around a quarter to half a billion dollars, I think), that would have been pretty bad.
Now, we only have to wait 18 days for it's release. All this hype had better be worth it.
I'm not bitter enough to want Avatar to bomb, but if it becomes a huge success I will be quite devastated.
I recently read a New Yorker article on Cameron, and by all accounts he's a total ass, at any rate more of a technical innovator than a good filmmaker.
Avatar may be the one movie in my life I see purely for the special effects. The more I see of it, the more it looks like Pocahontas in space.

No, it genuinely looks like a terrible movie.
I might have to agree. It doesn't look that good to me.
