Just a guess

is a horror movie
Attack of the Leprechaun Chickens
I dunno. ![]()
Clues: The main character is in this frame. It was one of the first films shot in cinemascope widescreen-ness.

HOLY SNAP. I didn't even see that person there! Yeah, I'm now clueless though.
Clue 2: The film is based on a famous book/"novella."
Moonfleet ?
Made in 1955
Starred Stewart Granger and Joan Greenwood
Set in Dorset England
But I think this is probably wrong as it isn't a horror film.
Kosmicheskiy reys: Fantasticheskaya novella
Made in 1936
Starring Sergei Komarov
The movie is in black and white.
Nope and nope.
More clues: The film was made when colour film was available and normally used. It's British.
Yeah but in 1955 1956 when cinemascope was the in thing, they were making colour films, but just because they could they made a load of B movies in black and white cinemascope.
Is this some really obscure B Movie
Come on give us a chance ! - Even I wasn't born then, if you are going to pick a really old film make sure it is at least a fairly well known one ![]()
is it the secret garden?
Is it "The Three Faces of Eve"?
Based on a book.
shot in cinemascope
