Nope and nope.
More clues: The film was made when colour film was available and normally used. It's British.
Yeah but in 1955 1956 when cinemascope was the in thing, they were making colour films, but just because they could they made a load of B movies in black and white cinemascope.
Is this some really obscure B Movie 
Come on give us a chance ! - Even I wasn't born then, if you are going to pick a really old film make sure it is at least a fairly well known one
