there is light flicker as you can tell, if anyone knows how to fix this problem please help me:|

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

I don't think the problem is the camera - it's the way you light your set. Do you use lamps or daylight? Or both...

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

Hazzat, the lighting will stay the same, but the #$&@ camera is being a spaz by continuously changing its stupid settings. A big problem when using the 9000

Well, if you have it installed on the PC, you can change all the settings to manual. It dosen't work on a Mac though.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

^ BG's got your answer. If your settings are on automatic, the exposure and brightness will change in between frames and cause what you're seeing.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

Sometimes, it's a good idea to make double sure that anti-flicker is off. I had this problem, and found that it was on. Turning it off seemed to fix it.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

What program are you using to capture the frames? There should be settings that you can change in just about every animation or frame capture program that allow you to adjust the quality.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

The program could be the cause of the quality loss.
It could also be the drivers which the Quickcam is using. Did you install your QC with the CD that came with it or did you just plug it in and use the cam like that? Perhaps you should go to the Logitech website and get the latest software for the camera.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

^^^Well, I'm not sure if that will work, but it's worth a try, if everything else we said didn't work.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

Well, I had a similar problem (well actually no I didn't, but anyways) I once had all of my settings on manual on monkeyjam, but yet I still had light flicker.

On further investigation (about 20 seconds of wondering) I found that not only do you have to change the settings to manual on the capture program, but also on the actual camera software, (you should be able to find this fairly easy). This should solve it (hopefully)

Also, energy saving lamps could be a problem, because they take time to get to their maximum light, and so if you don't let it do that then that could be a problem.

This may seem obvious but oh well, hope it helps!

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

well, I don't know what you mean by, chaning the settings on the software, but I do use MonkeyJam and yes I get flickr as well, I can try and change the settings but I have no idea what it will do.

I also want the good quality like vnanimation. but I have no idea how to do thta.:/

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

well, when you got the camera, I'm guessing you installed the drivers, which came with the logitech software. Try and find that, then try and find the settings

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

I know how to change everything to manuel, it's the quality and light flickr that's a problem, I have everything to manuel

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

Maybe you could make a video or take a bunch of pictures of everything you do to set up. We could then probably see your problem.

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem

Are you using fluorescent or incandescent light bulbs?

Re: Quickcam 9000 Lighting problem
