Re: What was the last movie you watched?
El Mariachi
This was awesome. I can't believe this was made for only 7000$! And most of that went to the film, the production itself costed only 600$! And yet Robert Rodriguez managed to make it look like it was filmed with a large budget. I enjoyed it, as well as the 'ten-minute film school' feature that comes with it in which Rodriguez explains some of his tricks he used to make it on such a low budget.
Desperado
Well since I saw, El Mariachi and liked it, I saw the sequel Desperado. Shot on a much larger budget, and it shows, this movie did alright. I didn't like it as much as I liked El Mariachi but this was an OK sequel and a more than average action movie. I really liked Antonia Banderas in it. Salma Hayek was good too. I'm also going to see 'Once Upon A Time in Mexico' to finish the trilogy.
Kill Bill
I've never seen it before, so this was my first time. It was good, but I liked Tarantino's earlier films better. I've also got the sequel so that's for next week.
Duel
To be honest, I had never heard of this movie. It is a Spielberg flick apparently, and it shows. The film is very simple but manages to keep you watching. I think 'Cars' is based on this.
Old Boy
I'm not a big fan of Asian Cinema, but this one was good to my surprise. Gory, but good.
