Pretty good, but why are two face and riddler gay?

Believe it or not, this is (Other Batman fans will roast me alive and eat my guts) is the only batman film I hadn't seen 'til friday.

You must of seen Batman Begins and The Dark Knight though, right? ... Right? mini/eek

Forgot about that, but it turns out it's released late November here in the UK.

Evil Dead + Evil Dead 2
Scary and hilarious at the same time. It's weird to think this is the original Sam Raimi - it's so different from the style of Spiderman. I'm interested to see his planned 4th installment! (after I find a copy of number 3!)

Zombieland
Better than I thought it would be. I loved the ultra-slo-motion scenes. Lulled a little in the middle and sometimes it seemed like the voiceover was an excuse to show various random zombie clips, but it was still very entertaining!

I'm sorry you saw Batman and Robin.

L'armée du crime(The Army Of Crime)

I really liked it. I felt that some parts dragged with a little pacing problems but I really enjoyed it. Although I liked it I think many people will find it too long which is a damned shame.

Another Pixar Masterpiece indeed. mini/smile

Inkheart

The direction really bothered me, it would have one shot, but then skip a whole time period and go to another one. Also the acting+script bothered me a bit to, it wasn't all that great.

The Birds

One of the freakiest Hitchcock movies.
This might even top Psycho IMO.

Just to let you guys know, I'm starting the Frightfest movie nights now that Halloween is coming up. The only down-side is that it's less time animating my entry. mini/tongue
Creepshow 2 is next.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

xXx

I just love this film.

I'm BACK! mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Creepshow 2

Definitely not as good as the first, but this one is still perfect if you're searching for a good Halloween Horror movie where everyone dies at the end... oh wait, every Horror movie is like that. The cartoons in between the stories threw me off though, I didn't know whether I was watching a kid's cartoon or a horror movie sometimes. mini/tongue

Pulp Fiction.
It was very funny at times but some of it was a bit unexpected! You'll know what I mean if you have seen it!

Ha. Pretty good for a classic 80's movie. Stressful though!

I also saw the birds recently, it was good but really didn't like it that much. IMO it definitely did not top Psycho.
I also hated the ending, no explanation or anything..

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Where the Wild Things Are

I generally like the kinds of films that critics like, but I have no idea why this film only has a 67% on Rottentomatoes.

I've heard a lot of criticism like "emotionally lacking" and "without much imaginative power." One critic said that "somehow, in all the embellishments, the moral was lost."  Perhaps they were expecting a little kids film with "follow your heart" and "live your dreams" messages plastered throughout, colorful, wacky CGI, and exaggerated animation. Is that really what passes for imaginative today?

It's not a kids movie. Most of the kids in the theater were bored half-way through. It's a movie for adults about kids, about what it's like to be a kid. It couldn't have been made any other way. A beautiful piece of art - I only wished I could have watched it alone instead of in a theater full of kids expecting to see another average Hollywood flick.
