ive changed my mind on doing it from the minifigures point of view. just to hard. would a film that starts at the end and then goes to the beggining with flash backs in between be avant garde enough

I'd say that just messing with the order in which the story is told isn't a particularly revolutionary thing to do, I mean it could help make a film interesting but I've seen it done many times before. Think outside the box! 
i am doing a co production with somebody!! we are currently working about details on who will do what. i have a couple of ideas but i am very busy! i am glad to see that people are already getting started on their vids since time seems to creep up on you faster than you can say end of JULY!!!

I'm pretty confident I have a good idea. It's only a concept right now, but it should work very well as a different approach to brickfilms.

Ok guys, here's the info for my upcoming movie.
"The time is 1997. A young minifigure runs to the end of an obstacle course, where he gets captured by two henchmen. Suddenly he wakes up in a jail, where he is greeted by the henchmens' boss. Then he declares that he wants to escape. So the boss tells his henchmen to get him free. But just as they unlock him, he starts to run away but... The boss stops and raises his gun at him, telling him that there's no chance to escape. He also tells him that he's been here 29 times, and that this is his 30th. The minifigure goes to the computer and chooses level 30 from the levels. Everything around him disappears, and he is teleported to a new world. There he beats the level, but when he fights the boss, he is put in an impossible maze. There he defeats the boss and runs away. And finally, when he goes to sleep, the ghost of the boss comes. Then he screams, which ends the movie.
Rating: LG for action and (not-so) scary images.

yes it is a very good start! we will still have to work on ironing out the details. I can't wait to start writing the script!

To clarify for people making banners and such - the name of the contest is 'BiM 2010," or "BiM 2010: Avant-Garde," not "Avant-Garde" on its own. That's just a subtitle or theme for the contest.
Then why does your sig just say "Avant-Garde?" 
Haha, I noticed that then carefully reworded my post. Basically my sig is the way it is because it's on the forums, so the connection is already clear, and it looked prettier without it. I'm certainly not going to be too picky about this, but in entries and stuff "BiM 2010" or "BiM 2010: Avant-Garde" would be preferable to "Avant-Garde," which has no clear connection in itself to BiM.

I'd really discourage sending me your ideas like that - it eliminates any element of surprise, but also it sort of defeats the purpose of the contest - to be creative. If the answer is yes, "is this creative and original?" isn't a question you should need to ask.
It's not so bad when the posts are 12 hours apart.
If you're going to ask an individual member something, send them a PM. It's much better than filling up important threads with unnecessary posts.
