Don't you have AE and APE? I'm pretty sure you can look around for some good compression settings.
Just export to uncompressed avi from your editor and compress in Mpeg Streamclip, totally free and has perfect results. Also saves you lots of money. I can't think of any other compression software than Quicktime Pro (30$) and Sorenson Squeeze (500$) where you'll have to pay money for it.
What are the best settings in MPEG Streamclip?
I use the H.264 codec. You can also up the quality some, as the file size doesn't get much bigger.

SheerVideo is great compression. It's for professional work. It's lossless compression, something that you don't get very often. They make a beta version for exporting to Windows avi. and there is also a version for quicktime. Here is the link:
