Mac

Macs are not all powerful They can get viruses. mini/blankexpression Anyways most Macs are usually $1000. Unless you can find something cheaper. Or if your looking for a cheap PC for Brickfilm it could be around 400-500 or more. You can customize a laptop or Desktop on Dell.com.  But know that laptops can only hold 3GB of RAM.

Re: Mac/PC budget question

i think i will just get a macbook pro and adobe master collection CS3

Re: Mac/PC budget question

Macs don't last long. There batteries suck real bad. Also, I know a few people who've gotten viruses on Macs.

Re: Mac/PC budget question

Macs are not all powerful, they have their fair share of trojans and security holes.
They also aren't guarranteed to last a long time.

My thinkpad 380 has been going strong for a good... 12 years or so. I've known Macs to die quite quickly, but then again, I know people who are running (myself included) Macs over 6 years old.

Get what will work best for you, software, hardware, and personal preference wise.

Re: Mac/PC budget question

Personally, I'd pick the Mac. However, I'm not you and this is your purchase decision.

If all you're going to be running are Adobe Suite apps that could run just the same on Windows, I say save yourself a few hundred bucks and go with Windows. If there's some software Mac only that you want to run, the obvious choice is Mac.

Re: Mac/PC budget question
