that's 10 P.M. here, right? well, I can't miss this...
I live in Ireland, (stakers can now find me) so what time will it be over here?

Yeah it'd be 1:00 PM in Cali. It's not too difficult to find these things out, just click the link in the first post, then click the link to whatever continent you live on, then find the major city nearest you.
How long do you expect the STAR premiere will take?
As others have stated, it really depends on the number of entries. I would estimate it might take a little over an hour perhaps, including the previews and the short Q&A sessions, but that's a very rough estimate and it could be longer or, more likely, shorter.
At 4:00 pm, I'll be in church, so I won't be here. Oh well... * goes off singing about his entry.

As I mentioned, there will be previews, but those will probably be at the beginning. The previews won't be STAR trailers though, they'll be unrelated films people are working on. I thought about including the STAR trailers in the festival but didn't want to pad this out too much.
Wow, this sounds awesome. Now I really wish I could finish my film for this. Any chance we could do something like this for BRAWL?
Poop, I'll miss some of it, will there be anyway to see a rerun of it later?
The entries will be posted in the forums afterward, I do plan to use the setup behind this in the future though I can't say when at this point.
As far as BRAWL, it's difficult to say at this point, this will be a good test run and we plan have more events like this in the future if it's a success.

Hey, can someone do me a favour and post my film in the releases forum after the thing is finished?
Man, now I REALLY wish that I was able to make a film.
Is this going to happen with every contest?
I must be cursed. I got a virus causing me to lose all my animation for STAR, once I got it fixed, I decided to try and enter again. Something completely new. But what happens? My battery dies as I'm in the editing process. I doubt I'll get a replacement battery in time. All that work, wasted. 
And even worse, a live premier of the films? Ugh.
I don't even feel motivated to finish it if I ever get the replacement battery.
