As long as you have the permission/rights to use it or, better, it is self-made, I would say yes.

Like so many others, my brothers and I are also withdrawing from STAR (but, like many others, also plan on finishing our film at a later date.) Heh, maybe someday we'll actually something on time.
To those still going on, keep going! ![]()

You're still going to finish my score, right? ![]()
It's starting to going wrong with time with me. I hope I can still enter this, otherwise, i'll just release it later. It'll be finished!
my goodness! everyone seems to be dropping out!! or maybe it's just that those who are actually getting things done are the ones that don't waste their time on this forum talking about their movies and actually do them!
hhmm i have also considered dropping out, but i am trying my hardest to get this done in time, and as of now it WILL get DONE!

Yes! Expect a couple music clips in your inbox soon. ![]()
Unfortunately, I, too, am also reconsidering my participation in this contest. I've given up on maybe six different story ideas, and now the due date is only two weeks away (for me, one, because I'm going on vacation the week before the contest deadline).
If I can think of something to make in the coming week, I might try to do it. I haven't given up entirely just yet.
finally I have over 2 minutes of my entry...in 15 days it should be finished...
I've been animating hard, but it's not been going well, and so from around 7 hours of animating, I have produced 11 seconds of footage
I really hope to finish this, but at this rate I won't have a chance of doing that.
[Hint=Smeagol]Deadline extension?[/Hint]
[Hint=Smeagol]Deadline extension?[/Hint]
As much as I would love with all my heart for there to be a deadline extension, I feel there shouldn't. Because who ever didn't use the six months time they had should suffer the pressure of the rapidly approaching deadline. I'm including myself here also, because when it was announced I thought I had all the time in the world to do my entry. I should have already learned that this is stupid thinking from THAC.
But idk, what say you Smeagol?
Because who ever didn't use the six months time they had should suffer the pressure of the rapidly approaching deadline.
Six months? I wish. It was announced in mid April, so it's more like only a little over 3 months, and that's assuming people heard about it close to when it posted. I didn't hear about it until early May.
But alas, I doubt you need to plead this case against an extension. Doing so would make future deadlines for other contests meaningless, and people would ask for extensions on their extensions. I bet the guy who asked for it was half-joking, half-wishful thinking.

Woah, I'm way off, I could swear it was announced in February! XP
You're probably right btw.
Question; since time is getting short, and I am seriously wondering if I will finish on time. Will I get demerit points if I submit half a movie, with a "To Be Continued" thing at the end?
LOL 10 days and I am yet to start filming, IM GOING TO WIN YAY
I'm working from Noon to 5 PM to get this finished, but I just realized the editing might take a while X X
