EHL OH EHL
for allot of people it's the exact opposite.

You can use either. If you've already got a Mac capable of animation, you should stick with that and save yourself $500 for other animating software/hardware. What kind of a Mac is it?
Then use PC.
CapedKid, the QCP9k manual funtions only work on a PC, so its basically obsolete. You can do 1 of 2 options:
A) Get a PC and use the 9k
B) Sell your 9k and buy a 4k

Laptops...what brand you looking at? OS? Screen measurments? Price range?

How much money are you willing to spend?
Why buy more hardware to run Windows? You already have a computer capable of running both Mac OS and Windows. Why not just download the beta of Windows 7, dual boot it, and use Boot Camp. After that runs out, it's only like $100-$200 to buy the full version, which is less than you'd spend on a computer. You don't need to buy another computer just for animating. Use what you've got. Hope this helps. ![]()

Laptop?
hmmm, well Macs don't run the 9K but they do run the 4K which is another great camera (and is cheaper then the 9K) you can find it on eBay (it would still save you at least 300$ on buying a PC)
So I would stick with mac.
I'd buy a nice laptop, and keep some money for some nice editing software.
I think he already has a 9000 though.
